Men’s Head Coach
Richard Ellis has been involved in rowing for over 30 years and brings a wealth of experience to the Men’s Head Coach position. Richard was the President of Oxford Brookes (then Oxford Polytechnic) between 1991 and 1992, rowed for England as a lightweight in 2002 and won Nat Champs as a lightweight in 2003. Richard has been to three Henley semi-finals (the Temple once, the Thames Cup once and Wyfold once), the last of which was in the Lea RC crew which, when favourites for the Wyfold, had their progress halted by the booms in 2008. Richard has been coaching men’s senior crews at Lea RC since then.
